Film Review: Chasing Ice
Water resources engineer Meghan Gloyd reviews the 2012 documentary film Chasing Ice, which captures photographer James Balog’s dramatic, multi-year effort to document melting Arctic ice.

This 2012 award-winning film documents the groundbreaking work of photographer and mountaineer, James Balog, as he embarked on his aptly named project, the Extreme Ice Survey. Mr. Balog and his team of researchers deployed 25 cameras in four countries (Greenland, Iceland, Canada, and the United States) and set them to photograph glaciers every hour for three years.
