Water Resources Engineer – Stream Restoration Specialist
Location: Chesapeake/ Delaware Bays Bioregion, Baltimore, MD.
Biohabitats is seeking a Stream Restoration Specialist to join our Chesapeake / Delaware Bays Bioregion team in Baltimore, MD.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, analytical, and engineering skills that can be applied to support stream restoration and a variety of ecological restoration and planning projects within the Chesapeake Bay watershed. This includes in-field assessments and the preparation of design plans and construction documents. You will work with our team of scientists, landscape architects, and engineers to support design work for stream and wetland restoration, watershed planning, stormwater management, and green infrastructure projects.
Geospatial Analyst
Location: Southern Rocky Mountain Bioregion, Denver, CO.
Biohabitats is seeking an ecologically focused Geospatial Analyst to join our Southern Rocky Mountain Bioregion team in Denver, CO.
The Geospatial Analyst will be responsible for data collection, data management, map creation, and spatial analyses for a wide variety of project types and scales including watershed and ecological assessments, wetland delineation, restoration planning, climate resiliency, federal/state environmental permitting, and integrated water strategies. Work will focus primarily on projects in Biohabitats’ western bioregions, with supporting services provides to our eastern bioregions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-directed, adaptable, possesses effective communication skills, and is passionate about the environment.

Tomorrow’s Practitioners
Our interdisciplinary internship program provides the opportunity to explore career pathways in environmental consulting. Our interns have included graduate and undergraduate students in programs such as environmental science and engineering, landscape architecture, planning, public health, and economics. Our program encourages interdisciplinary exploration and provides applied industry experience to prepare interns for hire upon completion.
