Biohabitats' 4th Annual Earth Day Expressions Contest

This one's for the kids in your life.

 

Our work often requires us to consider how future generations will interact with natural systems. But how do members of these generations view their relationship with nature?

Why not ask them?

For this year's Earth Day Expressions Contest, we'd like to invite the children in your life (kids, grandkids, young siblings, nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors, students, etc.) to show us how they see themselves as a part of nature – either now or in the future. Participants must be age 13 and under. Any art form can be used (drawing, painting, poetry, sculpture, etc.), as long as the work is created by the child.

A panel of esteemed experts (the Biohabitats staff) will review each submission and select the top three entries to be featured in the Earth Day 2008 issue of Leaf Litter.

The First Place Winner will receive a kid’s digital camera and a one-year subscription to the National Wildlife Federation publication http://www.nwf.org/magazines/ of their choice. Honorable Mentions will win a one-year subscription to the National Wildlife Federation publication of their choice. Biohabitats’ family members are not eligible.

Please help the child in your life complete and follow the instructions on the contest entry form by April 4, 2008.
