Biohabitat's 2nd Annual Earth Day Expressions Contest

 
What better way to celebrate Earth Day 2006 than to showcase art inspired by nature and created by loyal Leaf Litter readers? Whether your appreciation for the natural world motivates you to sketch a scene, sculpt a statue or scribe a sonnet, we invite you to share your creation with Leaf Littler. Your Earth-inspired masterpiece just might win you a really cool prize.

Please complete this submission form to send us your poem, short story, photography or a digital photo of your Earth Day "expression," by March 31, 2006.

A panel of creative experts (a.k.a. the Biohabitats staff) will review each submission and select the top three entries to be featured in the Earth Day 2006 issue of Leaf Litter. There will be one First Place Winner and three Honorable Mention Winners. Selection of winners will be entirely subjective and will likely be dependent upon the general mood of the judges. Bribes may be seriously considered, but not accepted. Biohabitats’ staff and their families are not eligible.

1st Place Winner will be acknowledged with a copy of the hardcover book, Earth, from the Smithsonian Institute. PLUS a one-year individual membership to Society for Ecological Restoration International which includes a year’s subscription to Ecological Restoration and Journal of Restoration Ecology.

3 Honorable Mention winners will be acknowledged with a copy of the hardcover book, Earth, from the Smithsonian Institute and a coveted Biohabitats baseball cap.
