Hog Island and Newton Creek Ecological Restoration Project Third Public Workshop on July 12th, 2007 at the Bong Museum in Superior, WIA third public workshop for the Hog Island and Newton Creek Ecological Restoration Project was held on July 12th, 2007 at the Bong Museum in Superior, WI. This workshop was intended to allow the stakeholder group additional time to provide feedback to the Draft Master Plan, and discuss a procedure for implementation. The merits and drawbacks of specific restoration actions included in the Draft Plan were discussed as a group, and additional opportunities and constraints were recognized. Participants included a wide variety of stakeholders including representatives from Douglas County, City of Superior, WDNR, MDNR, USEPA, West Wisconsin Land Trust, Murphy Oil, Enbridge Energy, and the Lower St Louis River Citizens Action Committee.
